Austria consults on family-reunification quotas of 314 for each of 2026 and 2027
A four-week consultation opened on 30 October; final regulations have not been verified.
Austria’s Interior Ministry announced a four-week consultation on 30 October proposing family-reunification quotas for beneficiaries of protection of 314 people in each of 2026 and 2027. The federal states may submit comments.[1]
The ministry says security checks would take place beforehand. The verified development is consultation on draft regulations, not a final, operative quota or approval of individual applications.[1]
