Belgium clarifies single-permit processing and shortage-occupation policy
The 21 October ministerial answer gives an average, not a guaranteed decision date.
In a parliamentary answer on 21 October, Belgium’s migration minister reported average single-permit processing of 13–15 weeks from the region’s notification that an application is complete. She quoted a federal processing charge of EUR 152, indexed each 1 January; consular fees are separate.[1]
The minister also said no dedicated federal simplification is planned for shortage occupations. This is a clarification of current administration, not a new statutory deadline or a promise about individual applications.[1]
