Denmark extends eligible Ukraine Special Act permits to March 2028
The Immigration Service assesses extensions automatically, subject to continuing eligibility.
The Danish Immigration Service confirmed on 29 October that extension rules under the Ukraine Special Act are in force. Holders who continue to meet the conditions of their current permit can have it extended until 17 March 2028.[1]
The authority assesses extensions automatically, without a separate extension application. Approved residence cards will arrive by post. Most cases are expected to finish before 17 March 2027.[1]
If processing is not completed by then, holders may stay with their existing rights until their extension case is decided. The Immigration Service normally uses Digital Post for information requests and decisions, so holders should monitor those messages.[1]
