Gibraltar announces planned residence route for self-sufficient people over 55
Planned rules include private health insurance, a health-system contribution and at least 6 months’ residence each year.
Gibraltar’s Government announced plans on 21 October to amend its residence regulations for entirely self-sufficient people over 55. The proposed route would require private medical insurance, a contribution to the health system and at least 6 months in Gibraltar each year.[1]
The Government said amendments would be published by the end of October after consultation. The amended text and an operational application route have not been independently verified. The announcement should not be treated as confirmation that applications are open; it does not specify the health contribution amount.[1]
