New Zealand’s first hybrid parent-residence selection is set for 10 November
About 90% of selections follow submission order and 10% are random; selection is not residence approval.
Valid Parent Resident Visa EOIs moved to a unified hybrid pool on 5 October, with the first selection scheduled for 10 November. Approximately 90% will be selected in date order and 10% randomly. The annual limit remains 2,500 visas approved in principle.[1][2]
EOIs valid on 5 October transferred without resubmission. Holders must follow the official retention and information-update requirements. Selected EOIs are checked for eligibility before an invitation to apply may be issued; selection does not amount to residence approval.[1][2]
