Portugal’s Cabinet approved a nationality implementing decree on 29 October. It covers language and civic knowledge tests, subsistence requirements, a declaration of adherence to democratic rule-of-law principles and biometric collection.[1]
The communiqué also describes simpler, digital nationality procedures, but gives no test format, commencement date or transition for pending cases. This report confirms Cabinet approval; the communiqué alone does not establish that new procedures are open or requirements operational.[1]
