South Australia opens skilled-migration registrations for specified onshore workers
The 22 October update covers local workers whose visas expire by 31 January 2027; offshore candidates continue through SkillSelect.
South Australia announced on 22 October that Registrations of Interest are open to people living and working in the state whose current visas expire by 31 January 2027. Offshore candidates do not need an ROI and may continue lodging SkillSelect Expressions of Interest for direct selection.[1]
All candidates need a current SkillSelect EOI. Priority sectors include construction, defence, education, engineering, health and manufacturing; highly ranked candidates in other sectors may also be considered. The 31 January date defines the onshore cohort’s visa-expiry limit, not an announced ROI closing date.[1]
