Sweden · Results out; assessment continues

On 22 October, the Swedish Council for Higher Education released results from the first citizenship test in knowledge of Swedish society. Of 875 people who took it on 15 August, about 80% passed. The pass mark was set at 28 out of 40, following a proposal by the University of Gothenburg approved by the Council.[1]

Results are transferred to the Migration Agency for continued citizenship-case assessment. This is an implementation milestone, not an automatic citizenship grant. The announcement concerns the society test, not a decision to postpone the separate language test.[1]
