UK publishes 2026 HPI university list: qualification date determines the list
The list added on 1 November applies to qualifications awarded from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027—not automatically to every new application.
UKVI’s update history confirms that it added the 2026 High Potential Individual global universities list on 1 November. The list covers qualifications awarded between 1 November 2026 and 31 October 2027.[1][2]
Applicants should select the list for the month and year their qualification was awarded, rather than simply choosing the latest list. General eligibility still requires a qualification awarded within the preceding 5 years and Ecctis confirmation of validity and level; Ecctis does not determine whether the university is eligible.[3]
Source clarification, 4 November 2026: The official 2026 table now lists Yonsei University under South Korea, resolving the country-label discrepancy noted in our earlier report. The source does not separately date this correction; the collection’s 4 November log concerns removal of the 2020 list. Applicants must still meet the rules for their qualification date and individual visa eligibility.[1][2]
