Armenia publishes residence-reform application guidance and 5-day document deadline
The 30 October service notice details procedures for the reform applying from 1 November.
Armenia’s Migration and Citizenship Service published guidance on 30 October 2026 for the residence reform applying from 1 November. Applications and proceedings use a unified electronic platform. Applicants relying on Armenian ethnicity first upload documents and, after preliminary completeness and conformity checks, arrange an in-person submission.[1]
The notice says proceedings are automatically suspended if requested action is not completed within 5 days of a platform notification. Where lawful stay expires during proceedings, stay remains lawful until proceedings end and a decision is made. Applications submitted before 1 November remain under the earlier rules.[1]
This official procedural guidance develops the earlier implementation task plan. It does not itself verify that every platform function is operational.[1]
