Germany refers six-week skilled-visa motion to committee
The Bundestag referred Motion 21/6346 to the Interior Committee on 4 November; referral does not adopt the proposed visa changes.
On 4 November 2026, Germany’s Bundestag referred labour and skilled-migration Motion 21/6346 to the lead Interior Committee.[1]
Dated 9 June 2026, that motion seeks a fully digital skilled-worker fast visa with a maximum six-week processing period and closer coordination with family-reunification applications.[2]
Committee referral neither adopts nor implements those proposals and does not guarantee a visa within six weeks.[1][2]
