Is Nauru’s USD 90,000 citizenship contribution the full application cost?
The current offer lists a USD 90,000 principal contribution. Application, due-diligence, bank and passport charges are additional; older June-deadline brochures need updating.
One applicant, no benefactor: USD 90,000 contribution plus USD 12,700 in listed charges equals USD 102,700. Advisory and other actual costs are excluded; filing eligibility must be checked.
No. The current Nauru programme offer quotes USD 90,000 for the principal applicant’s contribution, not the entire application. On the fee page checked on 15 October 2026, the listed components for one applicant without a benefactor add up to USD 102,700.[1]
Check the version and deadline of the offer
The current notice describes a USD 25,000 contribution reduction from 3 February 2026 for existing or new applications filed before 31 December 2026. The price table labels the offer as available until that date. An earlier official brochure still refers to 30 June.[1][2][3]
Because the current wording differs slightly between the notice and table, ask the authorised agent to confirm complete-filing requirements and the applicable deadline with the programme office. Do not assume a filing on 31 December qualifies, or that the offer will be extended again.
Five published amounts make up the single-applicant subtotal
The calculation is USD 90,000 contribution, USD 5,000 application fee, USD 6,000 due diligence, USD 1,200 bank due diligence and transaction charge, and USD 500 for a passport.[1] The resulting USD 102,700 is an arithmetic subtotal, not a fixed all-inclusive quotation.
The application guidance separately notes that agents typically charge advisory fees.[2] Establish what the service agreement includes, including document preparation and other actual expenses.
A family needs its own calculation
Separate rules apply to dependants, siblings and benefactors.[1] Confirm the household and source of funding before requesting an itemised quotation. Neither the single-applicant subtotal nor the contribution discount waives screening requirements.
Payment timing also matters: the official process places contribution and passport-fee payment after approval in principle.[2] Keep the quotation, application acceptance and final citizenship grant distinct.
